This is a site for a well known used car dealer in Elgin who until last year, didn’t have a website at all! They were more than aware that by developing a professional easy to navigate custom website they could reach customers from other areas. This was proved within a few weeks of the site going live.
This is another example of a site built from the ground up by Moray Web Solutions. An important feature for Main Motors was to have the ability to add and remove vehicles in real time, and without any hassle. We provided them an administration facility that deals with adding and removing cars, adding/removing/organising photos and much more. Specific to the car industry we also simplified the process of entering vehicle details by using a dynamic model selection system and plenty of tips on the entry screen.
Using some simple but smart technology each image only needs uploaded in one standard size, straight from the camera. The application we developed then resizes it and optimises it for use on the site before saving it, and it is resized on-the-fly to suit the area of the site that it is to be displayed on…. we couldn’t have made it any easier!
Other nice features on this site include a glossy navigation menu built using Flash, pagination of vehicle listings, multiple images for each vehicle displayed using a custom built ‘hover gallery’ and integration of GoogleMaps.
