(Our Articles) April 5th, 2009

Should You Disclose Your Prices Online?“This is a dilemma that has relevance to many service based businesses, including my own and some of my existing clients. It was mentioned recently in an email newsletter I received, and as I am in the middle of rebranding my own site just now I thought I would look into the pros and cons in more detail.”

This is an article that I recently wrote for the Scottish Business BlogClick here to read the full article.

  1. This market is so saturated and it is not easy to get attentions unless :

    - You are the first
    - You are the best
    - You are different

Personally – I think you SHOULD display your prices online. Yes it does allow your competition to quote just a bit lower but at the same time your portfolio and work should be what sells you – not your prices.

I have seen people paid over $100 hourly for horrible flash animation whilst I am making much less with PHP and relational databases… doesn’t make much sense to me.

Anyway – thought I would drop by – LOVE your wp theme!
    Gorgeous!

Definately worth considering actually, good point well made. Thanks for your comments on my theme, there are still a few tweaks in the pipeline for it yet! :)
